Peter Crouch
Ex-England striker on TNT SportsI think if Aston Villa concede a goal, they're really going to struggle, but as long as they keep it tight, they've got pace to hurt them.
It's human nature to protect what you've got, but I think Olympiakos are better on the front foot, so it will be interesting to see how they come out.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery told TNT Sports: "Congratulations to them.
"We didn't play like we are playing. We need to keep being consistent.
"They deserved to win. They are a good team. They have experience.
"It's not about luck. We didn't play well. We have to play better. They deserved to win.
On his message to his players: "Prepare for the match next Thursday. Try to play better, compete better."

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Amine Adli told Uefa.com: "We are very happy. We know it is not easy to play here.
"Last year we lost 1-0 here and we went out because of this result. We played a very serious game, we are very happy about it, even if I think we could do better.
"We had a lot of chances to score more goals but we are very proud of the team. In the second leg, we will do our best to go to the final."

Former Aston Villa defender on TNT SportsI think it's doable for Aston Villa. It's going to be difficult - it's going to be some atmosphere. There are players that can produce something special, so I think it can happen.

Aston Villa
Aston Villa captain John McGinn to TNT Sports: "Not the game we wanted. We wanted a lot more control. We started the game well.
"They're a good side. We wanted a victory going to Greece. We showed we're capable of coming back.
"Mistakes all round tonight. We'll take responsibility but it's up to us to go to Athens and turn it around because we're capable.
"They played very well tactically. They played the way we expected so there were no surprises.
"Everything that could have gone wrong tonight did.
"The manager was still positive in there. There's still a long way to go.
"We need to play a lot better than we did tonight but we're more than capable of doing it.
"Hopefully we'll have a few players back. The onus is on us to attack Olympiakos and score some goals.
"We have a mountain to climb but we know we're capable."

We're in for an absolute treat with these semi-finals if last years are anything to go by. People are moaning about them not being "showpieces", but I personally love different players reaching the latter stages and possibly winning tournaments. They're delightfully well matched.

Stephen Warnock
Former England and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 LiveDouglas Luiz has had a vast improvement in his own individual performances since Unai Emery has come to the football club.
I think he misses Boubacar Kamara and the lovely balance they both have at Villa, but watching that performance tonight Luiz was short of what he is capable of doing.

John Murray
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 LiveI cannot forget about the Maccabi Tel Aviv match when Olympiakos lost 4-1 at home then won 6-1 away.
It has been that kind of run for Olympiakos - you never know, there might be another twist in it.

Guillem Balague
Spanish football journalist on BBC Radio 5 LiveI can see that Villa are not far away and I can see that Unai Emery will have an easy job explaining this game.
He will think 'we are more efficient' and Olympiakos will not score four goals from five chances again - Aston Villa are still alive.

One thing we know for sure is any remaining Villa games in Europe this season will be in Athens.

Stephen Warnock
Former England and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 LiveI am watching Douglas Luiz hold his arms up and apologising, he feels like he has cost his team.
Take nothing away from Olympiakos, they knew how vulnerable Villa could be in certain situations.
Olympiakos set traps all over the pitch and they were dynamic at the top end of the pitch.
